libfam0 software package provides Client library to control the FAM daemon, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libfam0
libfam0 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libfam0 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libfam0 *
You will get with libfam0 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
